I can't believe our oldest daughter is now 17. 17 sounds old! Yikes. Romney is a beautiful, talented, outgoing, popular 17 year old girl-- so it's all good, but it's a little scary how fast she is growing up! We moved to Elko almost exactly 2 years ago, which time has gone by very quickly. In exactly two years from now, Romney will be leaving on her mission! Crazy. And one year later, Raegan and then Sophie...we'll never be the same after that!
Romney had a nice birthday where her friends showered her with attention. She was so busy and had so many plans that we couldn't even really schedule a family dinner with her. Finally we went to get a shake to celebrate (it was getting pretty late) and her favorite boy ended up picking her up from there to go to his house to study. Oh well, we had some shakes in celebration of Romney's life. A life that does this to her:
Romney is such a good girl. She was just called to be Laurel class President, recently received an amazing Patriarchal blessing, goes to Missionary Prep every Sunday evening at the Stake Center, was on the Seminary Student Council this year, danced her pants off all year as the captain of the dance team, has friends popping in at all hours every single day, and loves Elko High School Indians t-shirts. This girl has got it goin' on! We are so proud of all she does and the wonderful young woman she is turning out to be. She's a natural leader and has many followers, including us. We love our RomBom! Happy Birthday.
