Romney's going on a mission...

She's been talking about it for years and we've been so excited to start the mission process and paperwork.  Romney's three best boy-friends are on missions and are constantly saying, "Get out here!"  So as soon as she could submit papers, they were in!  We waited anxiously for word from the Stake President saying that the call had been assigned, and finally it was...we knew the call would come any day, and on the last day of cleaning and painting the Poplar house, we went back to the mailbox one more time to find this!

I got a video of her hyperventilating, but it's too hard to post videos on the blog.  I can say with confidence though that she was EXCITED.  It was a Friday night, January 30th, and there was a big EHS basketball game, so we had to wait till Raegan and the friends could come over after the game.  There was excitement in the air!  We managed to do a group video skype with the Whitmores, the Geertsens, the Bocanegras, the Taylors, the Taylors, Grandpa Goulding, and the Aarons.  Ray and Leslie were on the phone, and Parker was on the ipad.  We were all waiting...

Romney finally ripped the letter open, and she said the first word she saw was RUSSIA.  Russia!  It was an emotional moment.  We laughed and cried and kept saying Russia over and over again.  Sister Romney Goulding is called to the Russia Yekaterinburg Mission, reporting to the Provo MTC on Wednesday May 20th.
(She already has lights up in her room!)
A happy soon-to-be Sister.

Now we're on the countdown!  Going to apply for a passport and then Russian Visa, getting a typhoid shot, figuring out what clothes to take that will keep her warm in the possible -40 degree winters...

Yay for Yekaterinbug, Russia!!  Hurrah for Israel!!!
