I can't even tell you how excited we were to find that Abby and her kids and Lindsey and her kids were all willing to drive the 500 miles round trip to visit us in August! Our house is barely big enough for the nine of us, so fitting in two more adults and 10 more kids was a challenge! Thanks to our quick-set-up tent, we were in business! The boys all slept in the backyard so it worked out great. Again, only a couple of pictures, but we had fun playing, eating, visiting the California Trail Interpretive Center, swimming, and watching movies all night long.
Romney and Katrina always manage to conjure up some dates while the cousins are here. Not sure where the dates are...

And still swimming
Abby's van somehow exploded oil while we were in church Sunday. We drove home and she realized she was gushing oil all over the driveway...oh NO. We called the repair shop first thing Monday morning, and our pal Lenny (not really our pal, but she was nice to help us!) worked some magic to get the van in that day. It needed some pretty big repairs. I felt bad, but was secretly happy that the sister-kid caravan couldn't go back to Utah quite yet. We found plenty more to do, including dinner with Brent and the five older girls at Costa Vida where Raegan was working. We loved every second of the family being here, stinky-tent boys and all! Someone was in the pool almost constantly during the day, and even at night. When there's not a lot to do in a small town, you swim. Thanks for coming, Lindsey and Abby! |
