Lagoon 2013

Frito Lay actually had a Lagoon day this year!  It meant that all employees and their families could go for FREE.  We weren't about to pass up that opportunity!  This is the only picture I have of that great day which ended up being our family, the Bocs, the Geertsens, and the Whitmores.  But it happens to be a picture I find myself looking at almost every single day now that it's saved on my desktop.  Love the four-pack.

We decided that we needed to drive home that night after Lagoon.  You know how you feel after Lagoon, EXHAUSTED.  Well, we had to get back to Elko for Sunday, and we have four drivers!  No such luck.  Romney and Raegan were snoring before we left the Lagoon parking lot.  We got some gas and snacks for the road in Tooele, and Brent thought he was good to drive for a bit.  I could tell I was almost in La La Land myself, so I suggested a dvd.  I know, not safe for the driver to watch a movie while driving, but Brent will almost always stay awake through a movie!  I showed Brent the selections of Barbie flicks we had in the car, he wasn't interested.  He spotted "National Treasure" and I put it in.  I had to hold the player so he could see it, as we couldn't find any way to attatch it to anything so he could see.  That movie saved our lives, I'm convinced.  Brent watched the whole thing, and guess when it ended...as we pulled onto Poplar Drive in Elko.  We both called it a tender mercy.
