Ann Marie Tetley Goulding

This is my beautiful mother in law.  She decided after struggling for a few years with dialysis and having many complications, to stop the process.  She fasted and prayed along with her bishop and Cal and met with her children to help her to make the decision.  It was hard!  Harder for us than for her.  She was confident in her decision, in the process, and in the life she had lived in preparation to meet her Savior.  We knew once she stopped dialysis she would only live a few weeks, so we all had a chance to say goodbye to her.  I had Raegan and Hartman with me the day we went to see her for the last time.  We had a tearful, but cheerful parting.  She was always the happiest of people and could make any gathering fun.  I still have her last text to me on my phone that she sent to me the day after our last visit, "I love you so much and I am so proud of you and all you have done for my son.  You are wonderful.  Have a wonderful life and enjoy every day."  I'll never delete it!

We knew Ann would be having a celebration in heaven with her family who had already passed on, and would want us to do the same here on earth as we remembered her and her great life.  It really was a celebration of a great lady who had done amazing things!

Raegan's injury was still new and she had to rest her back!

We loved looking at all these pictures of Grandma.  Tami let all the granddaughters choose from her jewelry, and Scarlett chose this necklace and wore it to the viewing.

We thought she looked beautiful in her casket.

We commented that every picture of us at the viewing, funeral, and burial, is all of us SMILING.  We know that's what Ann would want us doing--smiling and being happy.  It was great to be all together celebrating a great life.

The burial was on a beautiful day in August.  We're glad we can go see her grave so close to where she lived.

Brent and his cousins!

Cal and Ann's 8 children

Most of Ann's grand and great-grandchildren

The funeral services were perfect.  Each of the 8 children told of some of their favorite memories of their mother, and one of my favorite talks was by Ann and Cal's mission president in Uruguay.  They have told us stories of their mission, but we had no idea of the huge difference they made in that country, especially in a little town called Rosario.  They left a lasting legacy and example to all their grandchildren to serve missions and to serve the Lord with all their hearts.

We still miss seeing Grandma and hearing her cheerful voice every time we go to Sandy, we know she is in the Spirit World busily doing what she does best, sharing her testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ with those who still need to hear it.  We love her so much! Cal is just as amazing, and has decided to visit every temple in North America on a "temple trek".  He's even passed through Elko!  We love both of them so much and feel grateful we'll be with them and the rest of our family for eternity.
