This group right here worked and practiced their pants off for the Spring production of Bye Bye Birdie! Brent is on the Elko Overland Stage Theater Company board, and was chosen (I think because he had his hand high in the air jumping out of his seat saying, "Pick me! Pick me!") to be the director of the production.
What a production!
The five oldest girls were all in the play, and Brent even had a cameo as a drunk. He was surprisingly good. Romney was chosen to play Kim McAfee, the lead girl, and Tyler was Conrad Birdie. Raegan was one of the groupies and friends of Kim, and it was very entertaining to watch.
Ads were placed all over town, and lots of people came. There were people from both Elko and Spring Creek, and the best people of all who came were the Aarons and Daddy and Lindsey and Abby--all who drove all the way here to support!
It was so fun to have all these great people here in Elko. SO nice of them!
We also had a few Saturdays where all the cast showed up bright and early in the morning to build and paint sets. They turned out really well and looked great on stage.
They all really did a great job.
Bye bye, Birdie!
